Napoleonic tabletop wargame tradition with the advantages of digital gameplay, period flavor, and beautiful resources… all on your screen.

Each 20-minute turn you give the orders for your three sectors — West, Centre and East — straight from the map: leading echelon, sector changes and detachments, with aides-de-camp carrying orders beyond your own hand.

Select any unit on the map to see its command, troop types and status — uniforms, commander, effective strength and brigades at a glance.

A division selected on the map: uniform plates, Bachelu Division's ground, effective strength, its commander and both brigades

Marshal Michel Ney

Commander of the left wing

Born and died

Born 10 January 1769; died 7 December 1815.

Age at Waterloo

46 years

Napoleonic battles

Elchingen (1805); Jena (1806); Eylau and Friedland (1807); Busaco (1810); Redinha (1811); Smolensk, Borodino, Krasnoi and Berezina (1812); Lützen, Bautzen, Dresden, Dennewitz and Leipzig (1813); Craonne and Laon (1814); Quatre Bras and Waterloo (1815).

Greatest achievement

His rearguard leadership during the retreat from Russia in 1812 helped save remnants of the Grande Armée under extreme conditions.

Reputation

Celebrated for personal courage and devotion to his soldiers. His impulsiveness and uneven performance in independent command, particularly at Dennewitz, complicate that heroic reputation.

At Waterloo

Directed major attacks against Wellington, including repeated cavalry assaults on infantry squares. He also led Guard infantry forward late in the battle; exceptional courage could not overcome failed coordination.

After Waterloo

Arrested after the Bourbon restoration, tried for treason by the Chamber of Peers, and executed by firing squad in Paris.
